Mother Embarrassment

Sunday, September 27, 2009
I started my blog, primarily because I moved across Texas away from my family. Texas is so big...it's like moving across the Country. I naively thought that my family...albeit, a small family, would read my blog and see what was going on in my life. Well, Stella's Roar has proven to be embarrassing for some of my family members and totally uninteresting for others. My Mother reads my blog occasionally between her fingers that are covering her non-virgin eyes. She still can't figure out how to comment...so here is her last email to me.
"I really enjoyed the pictures of your party. Who's the pretty brunette in the brown dress with her boobs hanging out? Looked like everyone was having a great time. I simply cannot believe some of the things you say!! Bottomless popcorn bag! "

Hey...at least your mother reads your blog. I don't think that anyone in my family reads mine.

That counts as a rave review in my book!

Mothers exist only to embarrass us. Its a way they have to show us that we will never be full breed adults and...that they always know better.

My mother's favourite hobby is to talk about my ex-boyfriends whenever I find a girl and about my former ex-girlfriends whenever I find a boy...

Thanks to all the Gods, she does not know about my blog...or I would loose my trust fund....

Family....
*sigh*
My parents read NOTHING I write, not even things that have been published. They don't have a computer so they can't read my blog. And I guess I'm glad cuz they'd hate it.
Maybe it's a compliment your mother even reads it??

I tell mine NOTHING.

She only reads it occationally...and it's usually when she has called and asks me about something in particular. Like, "how did the party go?"..."it went well, check out my blog if you want to see pictures". She says she isn't on the computer much, but that's far from true. Oh well...

OMG! I wish my Mom would read my blog, instead she's too busy on the phone gossiping, and I mean GOSSIPING!!!:)

Gossiping in capitol letters sounds juicy!

Sheesh....I might wake up in a hot sweat tonight just thinking about the nightmare of my mother getting online. The world is a better place for us all that she doesn't. Trust me.
