The Haunting...A Day Trip

Roadtrip
"The only highway tunnel in Southern New Mexico is at the 7.3 mile mark on the climb up to Cloudcroft. A parking area just west (downhill) of the tunnel affords a spectacular view of Fresnal Canyon which has some prehistorical sites, White Sands, and the Tularosa Basin."

The above framed photography was in the Honeymoon Suite...I can't find anything about the photographer unfortunately, because I loved the spectral images.
The Honeymoon Suite was scary enough without a ghost lurking around. This place is in bad need of a remodel...BAD NEED OF A REMODEL, she says!
(cultured marble bathtub...enough said)
It kind of killed the libido.

New Perfume Trials...The Hunt
I've been haunting the Lucky Scent website lately. I've worn the same perfume oil for 5 years.
Sage perfume in Garnet.
The candles are amazing and very fragrant as well.
So, after a faithful fan for 5 years, I need a change. I ordered 5 samples, which arrived yesterday...this is the first one I'm trying out...it's very sultry. I don't like girly, floral fragrances. Amouage Memoir Woman definitely is not.

You Need to Get Over Yourself...You're Not that Cute!

Trust me...I know...
And...legitimate question...why is "initiating slut mode" such a huge hit for my blog? I'm not that slutty. I'm actually ridiculously monogamous. Ask Fabulastic.
Oh...and I did a SK-II mask today...until it dried out into a hockey mask...that's why I look so damn cute!

Jewels from Riyadh...
My gorgeous friend Nouf from Boho Mode...seriously gorgeous...not gratuitous friendship gorgeous...sent me two pieces from her second jewelry collection...which immediately sold out...for obvious reasons.
I adore them...I want to sleep in them and wake up feeling glam, exotic and mysterious. Although with my morning dreads and raccoon eyes (I have a serious aversion to taking off my mascara at night. I'm lazy, fancy that?!) *glam, exotic and mysterious* would not be the correct adjectives. The jewelry would mask my dishevelment and take away attention from the empty champagne bottle on my bedside table...maybe.

Sweet Mother of Posing...I just can't do it. I tell The Main Man to take my picture and then I fidget like a 3 year old. Then I bitch and complain...he rolls his eyes and just keeps on snapping. And why, why, why, do I always pick that backdrop. I'm always running late, tossing the camera to The Man, barking out commands, fidgeting, looking like hell, then teetering down the stairs into the garage praying I don't fall and break my neck.
These sad pictures do not do this jewelry justice. Last night at the symphony, people kept staring at my chest...it was the necklace, I tell you! Not, my amazingly large burrito busom...yes, I owe it all to Mexican food!

Taking things into my own hands...and still sadly lacking.
Nouf...you've done it again!

Garden Tour Field Trip...
Saturday, October 23, 2010Chocolate Daisy...these flowers smell amazing! Like warm cocoa. Learning about this flower was worth the time alone for taking this Master Gardener course. I enticed The Main Man to drive to Sierra Vista Growers the day after the field trip so that I could buy a couple of plants. He thinks it's a stupid idea...due to the time of year, but I just had to plant a couple of them. My face has been buried in the pot ever since. Next Spring, I'm planting tons of them...everywhere.

Not a bad way to spend a beautiful Saturday morning.
